The Data Room is something that all VCs ask startups to share after they pass the first stage of screening. Most of the time, startups upload all their documents into a single Google Drive folder and share it with investors. At Stack, however, we decided to take a more creative approach, and it paid off. One of our investors even asked us to write an article about it so she could share it with other founders. For our intermediary round, we also built a very appealing data room. Both rounds ended up successful. Now, while the design of the Data Room is probably the least important factor for VCs when making their decision, it's still nice to have it well-organized.
So, in this article, I plan to write about our story on how we built our Data Room.
