I tend to read multiple books simultaneously because I have different reading routines. For instance, every weekend morning, Ellie and I enjoy our reading time together, there's a different book that I reserve for reading in the toilet 🚽 😀 and I also have a separate book that I read on my Kindle before going to sleep.
By the way, I used to struggle with falling asleep. I tried numerous solutions, from taking melatonin to listening to podcasts and audiobooks. However, nothing proved as effective for inducing sleep as reading science fiction on my Kindle. I used to dread going to bed because of the repeated frustrating battles to fall to fall asleep. And now, bedtime is exciting because it feels like I'm about to watch a new episode of a beloved show.
So, currently (June 2023) I'm reading the following three books:
- Ubik by Philip Dick
- Changing World Order by Ray Dalio
- Why we sleep by Mathew Walker
